Great Reads for 1st Graders

Children in 1st grade are just beginning to read. They probably know the alphabet and the sounds of each letter and may be able to sound out easy words. Reading to them and having them follow along is a great way to share books. Both Picture Books and Beginning Readers are appropriate.
