American Girl Tea Party
July 7, 2004

Seventy-five girls came to the Library for three different parties where tea and finger sandwiches were on the menu, high fashion was the dress code, and American Girl dolls and dolls of all kinds were their guests. The girls and their dolls gathered in the Mary Radmacher Meeting Room and the dolls looked on while the girls decorated fancy bonnets with sequins and ribbons, had a short lesson in tea party manners, and sat for high tea and finger sandwiches. After tea, the girls were invited to model their outfits and dolls' clothes in an informal fashion show. Many of the girls worked hard to coordinate their outfit with their doll and everyone was dressed "to the nines" for this very special event. Skokie Public Library was the height of fashion on this happy summer afternoon, with much pink and pizzazz! See for yourself...
