Bruce Coville's Visit to Skokie
April 13, 2004
Bruce Coville visited Skokie Public Library and two Skokie schools as our second Voice of Youth Award (VOYA) winning author for his beloved book, Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher.
The day included visits with 4th and 5th grade students at Fairview South and Thomas A.
Edison Schools. Coville entertained students at both
schools with wonderful stories and answered their questions about his books
and writing. Between school visits, Coville enjoyed lunch at Skokie Public
Library with Youth Services staff, librarians from Fairview South and Thomas
A. Edison Schools, and student guests.
In the evening, Coville talked to more than one hundred children and adults in Skokie Public Library’s Petty Auditorium and autographed his books afterward. Take a look... and when you're finished here, visit The Official Bruce Coville Site to learn more about Bruce Coville, his life, and his books!
