A Musical Afternoon with Ella Jenkins
February 6, 2005
Skokie Public Library paid tribute to Black History month with a very special Sunday afternoon performance by award-winning singer Ella Jenkins. The Library's Petty Auditorium was filled to capacity with friends and neighbors from throughout the community who joined Miss Jenkins in hand-clapping rounds of such favorites as Miss Mary Mack, Did You Feed My Cow?, and Shabbat Shalom. Several kids (and grown-ups, too!) even had a chance to join Miss Jenkins on the stage to accompany her on rhythm sticks, tambourines, and drums. Take a look!
