Wizard of Oz Celebration

Children of all ages took a trip down the yellow brick road to celebrate the 102nd anniversary of the book's publication on Sunday, April 14. Dorothy and her friends Glinda, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, Flying Monkey, Lollipop Kid, Wicked Witch, the Wizard, and Toto, too, welcomed everyone for a special day at the Library to enjoy fun activities and watch the Wizard of Oz movie in the Petty Auditorium.
It was a day full of crafts, games, music, and fun. Visitors to Munchkinland played a game of "Give the Scarecrow a Heart" and made their own ruby slippers and twisters to take home.
