Do you need help finding a book, video, or CD-ROM? Do you have a question about a Youth Services program, activity, or event? How about an idea? A suggestion? This is the place to start! "Ask a Librarian..." will accept questions from the Skokie community and questions about Skokie from outside of the community. We'll try to reply within 48 hours. If you need an answer right away, please use our online Instant Messaging service or call the Youth Services Department at 847.324.3149.

You can now "Ask Skokie Kids" using AOL Instant Messenger, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger, and Yahoo! Messenger. You can also type your question into the “Ask Skokie Kids” box to the right. Once you’ve typed in your question, make sure to stay on the page until we respond.
Please note: Ask Skokie Kids is only available during library hours, and may be unavailable during certain times when the Library is very busy.

Older students and grown-ups can ask a librarian live online via the Instant Message Reference service provided by the Library's Adult Services Department.

Please note: You are not required to provide any personal information to send a question to a Skokie Public Library librarian. However, if you would like an answer to your question, please leave your email address so that a Youth Services librarian can send you an email message.
