Free Comic Book Day

Free Comic Book Day is an annual, all-ages event promoted by Diamond Comics, the major comic book distributor in the United States. In addition to the free comic book giveaways, the Library had a full afternoon of activities for comic enthusiasts.
Comic Books Giveaway
Comix Revolution provided the free comic books suitable for children through adults. Titles included X-Men, Archie, Betty and Veronica, Simpsons, Batman, Justice League, Uncle Scrooge, Donald Duck, Amelia, Spider-Man, Superman, Star Wars, and more.
Iron Artist Competition
Contestants drew their way to the top in this fast-paced competition. Addie Afable, from Artistic Dragon Studios, guided the competitors in their frantic quest to be named Iron Artist 2007.
Movie: Spider-Man 2
Released 2004 – 127 minutes – rated PG-13 for stylized action violence
Free Comic Book Day ended with a screening of the 2nd Spidey movie in which the hero is challenged by a mad scientist named Dr. Octopus who is terrorizing the city with his deadly bionic tentacles.
