Crucifixes kiss cold cathedrals
as I lay abandoned,
Kneeling on stone,
the stench of the crypt sways with a bone-chilling draft
that serves as a reminder/
death is always in the other room.
The others have found the truth/
the Messiah has come
and so they've gone,
so I am lost,
and so alone.
in cloths of flesh,
worshipping a woman-
the one who carries my love in her eyes
that shine in candles at the altar.
Worshipping the one.
