Colors of the Holocaust
Black and white
Are the streets
gray
Is the sky
clouds
Looming
Jeering
Laughing
At the optimist below who
Sees nothing
But fields of green a
Single pink flower in bloom
Yellow butterflies flit
And flutter through clear
Blue skies filled with nothing
But hope inside her heart while
Blood is shed outside one
Name echoes, pounds, and rages
In hearts and minds as they
See friends lives pass by
One question
WHY?
