The Day

Morning creeps into through the windows
Like a new sheet of paper
Ready for whatever you have to say
In any kind of way
Until the afternoon rolls in
To add a paragraph
Of regrets and mistakes
And doing whatever it takes
To create a perfect ending
Before night comes and slides
The sheet into the past
Hoping it would last
Through our memory
Forever until
The dawn arrives to bring
A new chance for everything.
