The Color Black

Many people are afraid of the dark.
They race to find the nearest light switch
They fear things that end with a question mark.
They avoid it in fear of being bewitched.
But the color black isn’t a color to represent misery.
It is too often misunderstood.
The color black is instead a color of mystery
It is not of the things we know, but the things we could.
We sit comfortably inside a room filled with light
We look outside to see darkness all around
We can’t see what is lurking in the night
But we do know that there are answers to be found.
